The Frost School of Music’s unique geographic location affords students a broad range of opportunities. ’Canes benefit from real-world experiences in government, nonprofit organizations, multinational corporations, and everything in between. From historic to contemporary, there is something to enjoy for everyone under the sun. Beyond the extraordinary blend of colors, cultures, and opportunities, you would be hard-pressed to find a city as diverse as Miami.

In Miami, you will intersect with rising artists at the Ultra Music Festival, Winter Music Conference, Art Basel Miami, Frost Music Live!, Boca Festival of the Arts, Florida Grand Opera, Miami City Ballet, New World Center, and numerous performing arts centers and intimate concert venues throughout the region. You will participate in multimedia art exhibits and private gallery events, plus artistic ventures of your own making. You will also be exposed to exciting music, theatre, and visual arts from Europe, Asia, Latin America, and the Caribbean.

Frost students also have opportunities to intern with major music publishers, English- and Spanish-language television networks, recording studios, record labels, video production and post-production houses, and our vast alumni network throughout the region.
