Prescreen is required for all Frost School of Music applicants, and unless specified, prescreen requirements are the same as listed below.
- Major and minor scales (Segovia edition)
- The Giuliani 120 Studies for the Right Hand
- Two etudes by the following composers: Aguado, Brouwer, Carcassi, Giuliani, or Sor.
- A minor work by Milan, Bach, Tarrega.
- Sight-reading may also be required at the time of audition
- Applicants should be prepared to demonstrate knowledge of both apoyando (rest stroke) and tirando (free stroke).
