In-person auditions are highly preferred and historically have been required for Early Action, contemporary, and jazz applicants. Requests for virtual auditions will be considered on a case-by-case basis and only in special circumstances. Recorded auditions are not accepted for Early Action applicants but are an option for Regular Decision classical applicants living outside of Florida. Please see the parking information below. Tours of the music quad will be offered at 8:30am, 12noon, and 2pm. Tours will meet in front of Gusman Hall. Each applicant will receive a personalized folder at check-in with their schedule. All required appointments have been scheduled for you along with a warm-up time and space. Check here to make sure you're prepared with the required repertoire. Each student will be assigned a practice room and time in the Foster building. Applicants who have traveled internationally within the past 10 days must show proof of negative COVID test at check-in. Station 1 – Present your completed symptom checker (required for everyone, not just applicants). You’ll receive a wristband that you are required to wear while on campus. An informal Jam Session for jazz instrumentalists will take place on Audition Day. The Jam is not mandatory, but encouraged. We can not make a decision on your application if your file is incomplete, even if you auditioned. Incomplete applications will be withdrawn by the university after our meeting to finalize decisions. Please check your Applicant Portal regularly to track your application and document status. Do not ignore incomplete items listed on your applicant portal. The airport closest to campus is Miami International Airport (MIA) and is about a 25-minute ride from campus. Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport (FLL) is further north and is about an hour from campus.
