Required for all applicants: Official transcripts from ALL schools attended, regardless of if a degree was granted or not (even if it was a single class), must be sent directly to the Frost School of Music from the issuing institution in order to be considered official. Submit the following educational documents to an approved international credentialing evaluation service. The Frost School of Music must receive completed evaluations and official documents by February 1. Decisions will not be released until all official materials are received: a) Official original diplomas and certificates in the original language, and b) Official original transcripts in the original language (names of courses, grades, and hours of instruction) for every year of study. Documents in a language other than English must be accompanied by professional, certified English translations. Translations supplement but do not replace the official documents. Submit a scholarly writing sample on a topic related to your area of study or a broader musical topic. A research paper, article, or similar is appropriate. Music Therapy and Music Education require specific writing samples. *Please note, the statement of purpose that is uploaded with the online application is not the same as the writing sample.

The Frost School of Music offers a 5 year dual degree in Bachelor of Music in Instrumental Performance and Master of Arts in Live Entertainment Management. This program is designed for current Frost students with a high academic and musical achievement level. You must be an undergraduate student in the Frost School of Music. Successful applicants will follow all instructions and meet all deadlines for application to the MA in Live Entertainment Management program. A minimum cumulative GPA of 3.6 is required.
Students should discuss the program and the possibility of entering with an academic advisor. To be eligible for the program, in year four you must be able to satisfy all undergraduate degree requirements and enroll in 6 credits of graduate courses in the fall and spring semesters (12 total). Both degrees are awarded at the completion of required coursework for the BM and MA degrees. The special conditions and processes for the 5 year BM/MA Program can be found on the 5 year program page.
