Unless specified, prescreening requirements are the same as listed below. 

The Frost School of Music at the University of Miami has an outstanding graduate brass program with world-class faculty on every instrument. We look forward to hearing your audition.

    Select two or three contrasting etudes or solos (or movements from a concerto or sonata) totaling six-ten minutes which best demonstrate your tone, range, technique, and lyric ability.

    *Repertoire chosen should demonstrate the applicant's musical and technical ability and interest.

  • Audition

    • Two contrasting etudes
    • A complete concerto or sonata from the standard repertoire
    • An additional solo of the applicant's choice
    • Five orchestral excerpts

    Note: Prior to the audition, all applicants are encouraged to confirm their audition material with Professor Tim Conner by e-mail.
